Born in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, Peter discovered his
passion for the art of photography at an early age with the
atmosphere of the darkroom, the magical red light, the
sweet smell of chemicals and the miracle of hanging
pictures to dry out in the kitchen. Photography started out
as a hobby for him, but for the last 6 years it became more
and more an important part of his life. From 2003 he
became increasingly interested in experimenting with
digital capture and manipulation by digital techniques.
Peter’s passion in art-photography is now concentrated in
portraits and landscapes, where light and mood are the
important aspects. Led by feelings of melancholy, drama
and confusion, his principal photographic interest centres
on the capture and accentuation of the atmosphere and
lighting conditions that are different from a normal view of
a landscape.
